STEP 2

YOU NEED TO BELIEVE WHAT JESUS SAID

READ THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

     This Step is the Longest of all 5 Steps.  It will likely to take you a couple of hours or so to complete.  This Step is all about Believing What Jesus Said and in order to BELIEVE what He said, you have to KNOW what He said. That's where the Gospel of John comes in, it does an Amazing job of Documenting the Life of Jesus, Who He Is, What He Said and What He Did. It is the 4th Book of the New Testament and one of the Great 66 Books of the Bible.  It has 21 Chapters and will normally take the average reader a couple of hours to complete.

 

     Use your own Bible, Access one Online or Download a Bible App to your Smart Phone or Tablet.  Here at Heaven Ready Ministries, we have created a FREE PDF FlashBook of the Gospel of John (KJV) in an easy to read electronic format with the Words of Jesus in Red for you to use if you would like.  We have a Link for it down below. Don't just read the Words in Red however, you need to understand the context in which the Lord is speaking in order to clearly understand the meaning.

 

     We also have a link down below to a YouTube Read Along Video of the Gospel of John if you would like to choose that format.  Which ever method you use, make sure you're in a quiet place without distractions when you begin.  If it's not possible for you to create this type of environment right now then Stop and come back when you can. 

 

     We can't over emphasize the Importance of Reading the Bible in this Step.  Yes, reading the Bible is How we find out what Jesus said BUT it is also where we find the Faith we need to be Saved!  This is what the Bible says:

 

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

 

     You see, we are Saved by God’s GRACE through our FAITH in Jesus Christ and NOT by anything that we could ever DO.  It’s a FREE Gift from God.  And then we read this in Romans:

 

Romans:10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

 

     So if we're going to be Saved by God's Grace, we have to have Faith in; Who Jesus IS, What Jesus SAID and What Jesus DID! But we can't put our FAITH in Jesus if we don’t know anything 

about Him?”  This verse shows us that FAITH comes from Hearing/Reading and then Believing what God's Word says about Jesus in the BIBLE!  So you can see how Important it is to Read and Believe the Bible!

 

     If you don't Know what Jesus said, you can't Trust what Jesus said and if you can't Trust Him, then you can't Receive Him as your Savior and if Jesus isn't your Savior then you can Never go to Heaven.

     Please take this Step Very Seriously.  It's not a matter of just "filling a square".  We can't Fool God - He knows all the Thoughts and Intents of our Hearts.  Your Eternal Destiny is hanging in the Balance!
